Global Harmonization Initiative, Netherlands
Currently there are still more than 800 million people on the globe who are hungry and devoid of essential nutrients. The food they do get is unsafe and insufficient. Nevertheless, enough food is growing in this world, but those starving have no access. Major reasons are wrong growing conditions causing the harvest to be unhealthy; post-harvest losses due to wrong transport and storage conditions; competition of insects, rodents and other animals; export of produce to rich countries. All of these and other reasons should be addressed and can be solved by several means, one of the most effective ones probably being education.
